KAROL ZABIK
Age: 23.
Born: October 25, 1986, Torun, Poland.

Had featured prominently in Peterborough pre-season planning but ruled out when he revealed he had not fully recovered from serious head injuries sustained in the 2009 late season Polish Championship.

Arrived in town for a Meet the 2010 Team social event on Sunday, March 7 but withdrew from the following day's practice session and was ruled out of the starting line-up.

The former World Under 21 Champion would have been spending his third spell at the East of England Showground.

Made his Peterborough debut at Wolverhampton in 2006, and then had a sizzling home bow, scoring 13 against Belle Vue three days later.

Quit the club because of broken promises under a previous ownership and had a short spell at Poole in 2008 before returning to the Panthers line-up the following year.

Was originally named in the squad in 2009 but missed the start of the season because of a serious family illness and only made six appearances in which he averaged over seven points a match.

Even though he has been a none riding reserve twice he is still waiting to make his Grand Prix debut.Won three gold medals for Poland in successive Under 21 World Cup Finals.
