PETERBOROUGH will hand a British debut to latest Danish whizzkid Lasse Bjerre.
And it means that Lasse, who was 16 on the last day of October last year, will race against his elder brother Kenneth for the first time in his life!
The younger Bjerre will make his bow in opposition to the Readypower Panthers on their opening night of the new season on Monday, March 15.
He lines up in an all-star select to help celebrate the club’s 40th anniversary season.
Bjerre has yet to make his professional debut and is still at school but has already visited the East of England Showground.
He came over to see his Grand Prix star sibling last summer and will now make his first competitive appearance in this country.
Kenneth said: “I’ve never ridden against Lasse at any level – we haven’t even practised against each other.
“I’ve been to help him practice but all I did was stand on the track and give him advice.”
The younger Bjerre made his senior racing bow in the amateur Danish Division One last season but will step up into the Superleague this year.
