GDANSK chairman Maciej Polny admits he doesn’t know when Karol Zabik will race again.

The Peterborough star moved to the First League club during the winter from top-flight Torun and was expected to make his debut for them in their opening match of the new campaign.

But Mr. Polny has told leading Polish website www.sportowefakty.pl that Zabik will not be fit enough to race at the beginning of the season.

He said: “I don’t know how long it will take till Zabik gets on the motorcycle but I hope he will be available in the second part of the season.”

“Karol still has problems coming to full health after an accident last year. Peterborough waived him, but we're going to wait and give him a chance.

But Karol cannot be taken considered at the start of the season for our team but we cannot say he will miss the entire season.

“In his situation we need to help him.”
